Never thought I’d see the day where Shakira’s ‘Waka Waka’ becomes a Welsh football anthem but here we are! After Wales qualified for the Qatar World Cup by beating Ukraine, this song very quickly took off. Even the actual Welsh football players were filmed singing along to it in Gareth Bale’s ‘Elevens’ bar in Cardiff! Where did this chant come from? Rumours are it was Ethan Ampadu himself that added in the ‘We’re Going to Qatar’ line… Regardless of who started it, this song is already a fan favourite sung by the Red Wall home and away and we just had to get it on a Hoodie ready for the World Cup.
